Sudha Parimala Bhajana Mandali, Madipakkam celebrated their 17th year Anniversary celebrations @ Thambras Hall on 01-Apr. The day started with Sri Satyanarayana Pooja followed by Lakshmi Shobhane Pooja under the guidance of TTV Editor Smt. Saraswathy Sripathy. Women participated in large numbers. Tathva Vaadha DURMUKHI Samvatsara Calendar released

As we all are very excited on account of upcoming New Year – DURMUKHI on 8th April, here comes an great announcement from Srirangam that will delight all our Madhwa folks for sure. Yes, you are right – Tathva Vaadha Tamil Magazine has released their Madhwa Matha Daily Calendar for 2016-17 today, well ahead of Yugadi.

The release happened at Chennai during the Lakshmi Shobhane Pooja 17th year celebrations this morning conducted by Sudha Parimala Bhajana Mandali, Madipakkam.  I am sure you will agree that TTV Calendar has been of great help to us in our daily sankalpa and saadhane for many years and the editor Smt. Saraswathy Sripathy has put in lot of efforts this year too to include notes from other mutts as well, particularly regarding Ekadasi anushtaana. Readers who have registered for calendars are requested to contact TTV Office and collect the calendars at once.

Sri Raghavendra Saptaaha Mahotsava – Mar 2016

The 23rd “Sri Raghavendra Saptaaha Mahotsava” is being celebrated by Sri Raghavendra Saptaaha Karyacharana Samithi at Shimoga this year in association with Sourabha-Shimoga  from 10-Mar-16 to 16-Mar-2016. The celebrations will be held in the benign presence of Sri Sri 1008 Subhudendra Teertha Sripadaru, Sri Rayara Mutt, Mantralaya. The ‘Mahotsava‘ is steered by Sri Sri 1008 Vidyadheesha Teertha Sripadaru, Sri Palimaru Mutt, Udupi as President and Sri 1008 Eeshapriya Teertha Swamiji, Sri Adamar Mutt will also grace the event.

Popular Dasara Padagalu singer Mysore Sri Ramachandrachar usually mesmerises the audience with his fantastic vocal performance and also constantly showing the relevant pictures of Gods and Yatigalu, which is a double treat to our ears and eyes as well. You may be knowing he conducts a grand program called “Madhwa Purandarotsava” every year and invites pundits for pravachana and Swamijis grace the event as well.

Sri Purandara Dasara Punyadina – 8Feb16

Today is Sri Purandara Dasara Punyadina. His birth name was Srinivasa Nayaka and later popularly known as “Navakoti Narayana” on account of being very rich in the business of gemstones trading. Later on, he came a hari bhaktha and went to write more than 4,75,000 songs which covered almost everything. Sri Vyasarajaru has called his verses as “Purandaropanishat“.
