Sri Kaniyoor Swamiji visits Nanganallur Mutt for Mudradharana

Hare Srinivasa,

06 tapta-mudra-dharaana

Sri Sri Vidyavallabha Theertha Swamiji, Sri Kaniyoor Mutt today graced devotees in Chennai by giving the auspicious Tapta Mudra to all. He started the day in T Nagar Sri Pejawar Mutt and later visited Nanganallur Yathi Thraya Sannidhana in the afternoon as well. Devotees in and around Nanganallur were pleasantly surprised by this development(happening for first time in Nanganallur) and they turned up in large numbers to get the Swamiji’s blessings. Note the Kaniyoor Srigalu has just completed his Second Sri Krishna Paryaya and we all are very blessed today to get the sacred vaishnava mudra from his amrutha hastha. We couldn’t have started the Chaturamasa on a better note than this. Many thanks to Chairman and other Trustees of SRS Mutt, Nanganallur for making all the arrangements immensely helping the bhaktaru. It would be great if they could make this happen every year and it would be of great help to the devotees. Here are some snaps from Nanganallur Mutt. (Please note the last snap with black color square tiles on the floor is taken in T Nagar Mutt)

  1. Yes,it is to the credit of the Nanganallur Mutt that the peetadhipatis of other Mutts falling under the Madhva fold are being invited to seek their blessings for the welfare of the devotees and this trend set up and being followed in the last few years is a welcome change in the outlook.During the event at the Mutt, some devotees were heard discussing whether those belonging to the other Mutts can have the Religious Branding done by the pontiff of another Mutt and I intervened and told them that the source of all Madhva Mutts being the same Ananda Theertha who has propounded the Madhva Siddhanta that is being adhered to by all the Madhva mutts,no such differentiation can be practised inter se between the Madhva Mutts themselves.I pray that all Madhvas should eschew such differences and strive for the spread of the tenets of Dwaita Siddhanta. K.LAKSHMAN.
