As you all are aware Chrompet Sri R Sridharan, Managing Trustee of Chrompet Maadhwa Seva Charitable Trust is doing yeoman service to Madhwa community by coming up with the Acharya’s Magnum Opus Sriman Mahabharata Tatparya Nirnaya in Tamil for the benefit of Madhwas in Tamilnadu. Sri R Sridharan has been carrying out the first-of-its-kind, gigantic task of translating the entire Sriman Mahabharata Tatparya Nirnaya of Sri Madhvacharyaru in Tamil in ten volumes.
This work of Acharya is a magnificent work containing more than 5200 verses in Sanskrit. It is an epitome of Bharatha and serves as an encyclopedia of Madhva Premeyas. Being an important work of Sarva Moola Shastra, it dispels all doubts in scriptural literature. In fact Srimadhacharya concludes at the close of this work that he composed it under the instructions of Lord Narayana himself. This unique Tamil translation carries original slokas in Devanagari and Tamil scripts, translations and exhaustive notes with elucidatory explanations. This work is being published as a Seva to Lord Vayudeva without any pecuniary motive. The tenth volume was released recently by Sri C K Ramamurthy, Editor, English Tatvavada Magazine on 04-Oct-14 at Chrompet Sri Raghavendra Swamy Brindavana.
This work is being authored by renowned Madhwa Scholar and Managing Trustee of the Trust, Shri. R.Sridharan. Sridharan is very simple and unassuming. He is a profound scholar in Madhva Philosophy, Dasa Sahitya, a study of Dasas and their works, is his specialized field of study. He has established a reference library of his own. He has been honoured with many titles and awards like ‘Dasa Sahitya Seva Rathna‘, ‘Chrompet Rathna‘, ‘Dhruva‘, awarded by renowned personalities. He has also written/has been writing articles for many years in the popular spiritual magazines like Tamil Tathva Vaada, Sri Sudha and Guru Sarvabhouma.
Thus far, nine volumes have already been published and the Tenth one(576 pages) was released recently. The Tenth part contains the shlokas of the 29th, 30th and 31st Adhyayas from the MBTN. This great series will see 2 more volumes as per the author.
As we don’t have a translation of this great work by Acharya in Tamil, the Madhwa community (who doesn’t know to read Kannada) is highly indebted to Sri Sridharan and CMSCT for their great effort in this regard.
