Like many others, I am also a big fan of Mysore Sri Ramachandrachar. The way he presents the Dasara Padagalu and the energy he exhibits in his show are simply great and makes a lot of impact on the listeners. His programs are not only a treat to our ears, but to our eyes as well. Yesterday when I was looking for his songs on the net, I came across this wonderful song, Kolu Kolanna Kole in YouTube. Though I like many of his songs like Hanuman Ki Jai, Hanuma Namma Thayi Thande, Rayo Baro & Gatikachali Ninta, this song(Kolu) is too good. Usually he reserves this song for the end of his show like Kadri Gopalnath used to play the very popular, my all time favorite and the masterpiece from Sri Purandaradasaru, the Bhagyada Lakshmi Baramma song as the last song on 1st Jan every year at Nanganallur Hanuman temple during the Hanumath Jayanthi celebrations.
Kolu Kolanna Kole
After more than 2 hours of listening to his program, one will be overwhelmed and all-together in a state of bliss when Achar will open his bag and untie the sticks and offer it to willing members from the audience. At this time people will be hesitant and only few will volunteer to hold the sticks. But by the time he starts playing the Kolu song and the fast beats starts flowing, there will be many takers and by the time the song progresses, every one will be on their feet no matter with or without the sticks. I am pleased to present some more links to his songs that are found in YouTube.
